Page 5 Wilma, Charles and Glenda lived many years more at the new home place before marrying and moving away. Wilma married Pleze Sawyer, Charles married Patricia Owens and Glenda married Ray Whitaker. There have been many happy days spent at the Clementine Cove by the children and grandchildren of Fred and Martha and by many, many other family members and friends over the years. Their door was always open and there was always food to eat day or night. Of course, the most treasured gift from Fred and Martha has been the many wonderful stories and advice for living passed along to us all. When "the cousins" had a problem and something seemed impossible to overcome we would hear Grandpa Fred say "well sassifras young'ins, there is always another way!" Many times in our own lives we have applied this practical piece of advice. Ray and Glenda Bradshaw Whittaker now own the property known as the Clementine Cove and have recently begun to bring the old home place into a new life of its own. It is now home to Highlander Heritage Realty, Carpenter Cabins, Clementine Cove Gifts and Crafts, and Clementine Cove Desserts. We hope you will come and sit on the porch and recapture some of the past and enjoy some time with us. Judy Andrews Carpenter & Josh Carpenter - Co-Managers
I thank you Lord for the capacity of memory for in these days of uncertainty I feed from the certain fact that I have truly been blessed by Your hand. Memory is my safe harbor, for I know what the past has held while the future may seem unsure. Only by Your grace, dear Lord, I know You will carry me though as You did them, for Your purpose in my life. I pray dear Lord that Your blessed hand will guide me in Your path as You would have me go, that Your will would be fulfilled. I thank You God for those humble souls from whose strength I draw my own. Please help me Jesus to give as I have been given and to love as I have been loved , for through love and charity You were shown to me by the example of those who modeled my image of You. Please grant
me Lord a grateful heart for these gifts which only You know how to
give. In Your precious name I pray. Amen
